Bringing The Christian Science Monitor to Main Street

The Task

The Christian Science Monitor represents journalism at its best. This is important, especially in the current polarized and contentious media environment. We are developing a distribution effort to get a current sample of the weekly Monitor magazine into college libraries and local businesses that have waiting rooms where literature is on display.

Our inspiration is a program developed by a joint literature distribution committee in Seattle, Washington. You can see a 10-minute video about their program below.

The Dallas-Fort Worth Project

We will be collaborating with individuals in member Christian Science churches and Reading Rooms in the North Texas area to support this effort. It’s an exciting way to become involved and to get the name “Christian Science” in front of the general public.

We are working with two individuals who will personally approach colleges and businesses in pre-identified areas and offer a current Monitor Weekly as well as a year-long subscription.
