In 2024, members of The Leaves team had the joy of visiting the Longyear Museum and experiencing its remarkable preservation of Christian Science history.
Now, we are delighted to welcome Longyear to The Leaves.
As The Leaves celebrates its 60th anniversary this year, Longyear Museum President Sandy Houston will visit our campus to present on the Cross and Crown, a symbol that Mary Baker Eddy referenced throughout her writings and which has become the trademark of Christian Science.
Longyear Museum holds an extraordinary collection of historic Cross and Crown jewelry and artifacts. During this presentation, Sandy will share the history and meaning of this symbol and highlight pieces from Longyear’s collection. If you own a piece of Cross and Crown jewelry, please consider wearing it to the program.
